Player Information

Males must turn 50 in 2027 to play (We accept a limited number age 45-49). Females must turn 40.

Age is calculated by what age you will be by December 31st of next year based on your birthdate.

Registration & Payment

League play is expected to start on or around April 24, 2027, weather dependent. Early registration is highly recommended. All players must be registered by March 31. We will accept registrations after that date and assign them to a team when an opening becomes available. Those players will be given first chance to play as a sub during the season

Waiver & Release of Liability

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the Capital District Over 50 Softball League athletic sports program, related events and activities, the undersigned acknowledges and agrees that the risk of injury from these activities is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, and assume full responsibility for my participation. I agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release and hold harmless the Capital District Over 50 Softball League, its directors, officers, officials, agents, volunteers, employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event, with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
